Attorney Profiles

Howard Stolzenberg is a founding partner of Lever & Stolzenberg LLP and has been representing injured parties for more than twenty years. 

After graduating law school, Howard first worked for several prominent Rockland County personal injury attorneys before joining with David Lever to form L&S.  Howard specializes in representing the firm's most seriously injured clients and is responsible for some of the firm's largest awards. 

For instance, he handled our recent litigation against the City of New York in which our client, a police officer, was shot by a fellow officer.  The shooting occurred in the locker of the local precinct house.  Howard was able to settle the matter for $2 million. 

He also played a pivotal role in securing a $2.850 million settlement for a welder who fell from a scaffolding in Brooklyn. 

Howard has settled several multi-million dollar cases, generally in the field of construction accident litigation, but he also handles products liability, automobile and premises liability cases. 

Howard is notorious for being ruthless, hard-nosed and aggressive.  Defense attorneys and insurance companies alike respect Howard because he is known to be well-prepared and persuasive. 

He is constantly looking to make himself a better attorney and continues to participate in continuing legal education classes.    

When Howard is not in the office, he likes to spend time at home with his family.  Otherwise, he is playing ice hockey.  He is the Captain of his team, the Stars.  The Stars are the 2009 North American HNA champions.
