Two Brooklyn, New York boys were seriously injured in a
swimming pool accident this week while traveling with their soccer team. Authorities say that the two boys, ages 12 and 13, were swimming with ten to fifteen other members of their team in a hotel pool when both were found in the deep end.
Both of the boys were transported to a hospital – one of the boys was conscious and breathing in the ambulance while the other was unconscious and being resuscitated. The first boy is expected to released from the hospital soon, while the other younger boy has been upgraded from critical condition to stable condition.
The boys were being supervised by multiple adults at the time of the hotel swimming pool accident, but there were no hotel lifeguards on duty at the time of the near-drowning. It is unclear how the boys got into trouble in the water. Currently, authorities are attempting to notify the boys’ families of the swimming accident in New York.
