

Westchester county roadways were greatly affected on Friday, October 14th with construction work and car accidents causing road closures and backed up traffic. Several locations were closed on the Saw Mill River Parkway on Friday due to construction roadwork in both directions between Bronx-Westchester County Line to Exit 17 in Greenburgh. The right lane and right shoulder of the road were closed until 2:00pm. Additional roadwork on the Saw Mill River Parkway in the soutbound lane in Bedford (at I-684) resulted in several lane closures until 3:30 in the afternoon. The northbound lane of I-684 starting at Exit 9A in Harrison had multiple lane closures until 3:30pm due to construction roadwork.
Construction work in both directions on the Cross County Parkway between Yonkers and Eastchester had multiple lanes closed until 3:00pm.
More construction work closed the right shoulder of the northbound lane of the Taconic State Parkway between Exit 26 and Exit 30 until 2:00pm.
