

A head on collision on October 29th in White Plains, NY results in three people dead and two others severely injured. A 1991 Toyota Camry was driving south in the northbound lanes of Mamaroneck Avenue north of Rosedale Ave. Calls were made to 911 about 11:15pm, reporting the head-on collision between the Toyota and a 1998 Lexus, and responders arrived on the scene minutes later to find four people trapped in the Toyota. The victims had to be cut from the cars by the police Emergency Service Unit and fire Rescue Unit - and were immediately taken to White Plains Hospital.
Three of the victims from the Toyota were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, despite receiving first and and CPR. The victims were identified as Herbert Royster, the driver of the Toyota; Aida Royster and David Guerra all from the Bronx. The fourth passenger in the Toyota, Edward Guerra was transferred to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he is listed as being in serious but stable condition. The driver of the Lexus, Edwardo Huezo, is recovering from a concussion, cut to the arm, and blunt trauma.
The accident is still being investigated, but it appears the Toyota was traveling the wrong way on the avenue. The southbound lane of Mamaroneck Avenue were closed by police barricades due to trees and branches and downed wires from the snow storm.
