Family Mourns Loss After Tragic Car Accident

Posted on May 17, 2011

Each day millions of motorists hit the highways to get to and from work, school and other destinations. Sadly, thousands of lives are lost each year due to traffic accidents. In some cases accidents are just that, unfortunate incidents that could not be anticipated or prevented. In other situations, automobile accidents could be prevented and lives would be saved. Determining whether an accident was preventable is often difficult if not impossible due to lack of information.

The family of one Port Chester man killed in a recent automobile accident has yet to learn what exactly triggered the accident which claimed his life. According to a new article provided by lohud.com, the 28 year old Port Chester resident lost his life after being involved in an accident with a tractor-trailor in Harrison. As reported in the article, "Police were still determining what caused Rodriguez to strike a center guard rail at 3:45 a.m. and spin out before his car was hit by a rig".

The family of Hector Rodriguez may not have time right now to question how and why as they deal with the loss of a loved one, however in the days and weeks to come, they will surely seek answers.

Lohud.com reports, "'I'm sure there's a reason why God did this, ' said the brother, who was preparing to fly to New York to be with his family."

Rodriguez's family, like many others could be entitled to compensation if it is determined the accident could have been prevented. Auto defects and driver error are common causes of car accidents which claim the lives of motorists each day. Negligence or other faulty actions which lead to the death of one or more people may be grounds for a personal injury case which compensates injured parties or their families.
