School Bus Safety Reminders for New York Drivers
Remember when you see school buses in the area, there's a good chance that children will be near by, walking or waiting for buses. Children have been known to act on impulse and could dart across the road unexpectedly, so be prepared.
If you see a school bus with yellow lights flashing, slow down and prepare to stop whether you are approaching the bus from behind or in another lane going in the opposite direction. When the bus lights turn to red, you must stop.
